I’m hoping to have grabbed my QB for years to come. I also think Renfrow could be a little gem here, especially if he can get traded.

Jags agree. Gonna miss Hurts. But the previous owner left us in cap space purgatory. The Jags franchise had zero ability to retain Mike Evans next year if we wished, and would have had to maneuver a bit just to pay our own rookie picks with roster as it was. A middle of the road finish was projected for us, which I don't expect that to change. Making a move to try and get away from annual middle of the road finishes by stocking up on draft picks.

This is just my opinion, but I do not see this trade as balanced at all. If you ask me, the saints are getting away with a CRAZY haul here. Don’t think the return for the Jags is worth it at all. To me, getting a washed QB a mid level DE and a 1 does not even up to a top tier QB in this league.

I don’t disagree with Brady, but I more so side with Frank. Hurts is super expensive starting next season. Thibs and picks for Hurts and the liability that is Renfrow’s contract is a fair enough gamble. I’d still rather have an expensive Hurts, but it flies for me.
