I have made an amendment to the extension rule.

There is no limit to how long the contract is after the player is extended, the extension just adds 3 years onto the contract. So, you can extend a player with 1 year remaining and then he would have a 4 year deal. You can extend a player with 3 years remaining and he would have a 6 year deal.
