Jaguars and Eagles have agreed to following trade:
Jags send:
Austin Ekeler RB LAC 6.1M 2023, ext 29.8M 24-26
Mike Evans WR TB 16.5M 2023
Eagles send:
2025 1st Eagles
2025 2nd Eagles
DeMarion Overshown LB Dal 3M 2026
Nolan Smith DE Phi 3M 2026
Nick Vigil LB FA 6M 2023
Jags agree to the post. A tough 1-4 start coupled with cap constraints to bring in pieces has forced us to rebuild mid-season. Another tough opponent this week leaves us 1-5 with no shot at getting into playoffs. Realizing this the Jags needed to get some value for Mike Evans. Ekeler is finally getting healthy and should be a top5 RB rest of season, but he doesn't come cheap down the road with his almost 30M cap cost starting in 2024.
Adding in a couple promising IDP players that have solid real life draft capital and hopefully good futures for their respective teams.
Also taking on Vigil to balance out the cap some in the deal on an expiring FA in Vigil.
